The Project

The Saturday Night Ghost Club is adapted from Craig Davidson's novel about a boy named Jake who spends a fateful summer with his eccentric Uncle Calvin, investigating local ghost stories in the fictional town of Cataract City.

The story blends 90s nostalgia with genuine supernatural dread — VHS tapes, wood-paneled basements, dusty curiosity shops, and candlelit séances. Every location needed to feel both lived-in and haunted.

Design Approach

The lookbook establishes distinct visual worlds for each key location: Uncle Calvin's Occultarium (cluttered, amber-lit, filled with esoteric objects), the family home (warm 90s domesticity), and the supernatural investigation sites (cold, desaturated, unsettling).

Color palettes shift from warm ambers and teals in safe spaces to sickly greens and deep shadows in locations tied to the supernatural. Every prop, every wall color, every light source was chosen to serve the story's emotional arc.
